Long Island’s Domini Monroe Will Open for Pop Star Aaron Carter

February 18, 2019:

On February 23rd, Domini Monroe opens for Carter at Revolution Bar in Amityville.

Domini Monroe long island singer

To learn more about this upcoming show at Revolution Bar and Music Hall, and to purchase tickets, check out the venue’s official homepage:

Monroe started her musical journey in an unusual way: she used to sing opera. Although young, she considers herself an “old soul” – possessing a wide range of musical favorites that range from “doo-wop to ’80s rock, and contemporary pop music.”

Besides her musical talent as a singer, Monroe’s a good egg – assisting charities that are dear to her heart. These organizations include Relay for Life, Kids For Kids, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The American Cancer Society, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). For her debut single, “Pump My Heart,” the songstress donated all of the proceeds to The American Cancer Society, where she used the motto: “keep those hearts pumping.”

Her new song is titled “Undercover,” which she wrote. It’s available on Spotify and on Amazon.

Long Island’s Laura Stevenson Announces New Album and Tour

February 7, 2019:

Her fifth album, The Big Freeze, will be released March 29, 2019:

Long Island Laura Stevenson

About making her latest album, Laura writes:

“All of his recording gear was in a storage space in Jersey City, so last winter we loaded it into my childhood home on Long Island and set up a make-shift studio. There we could isolate ourselves and work on our own time, getting the best and most honest version of each song; every track began with just me singing and playing the guitar. All of the other instrumentation was built on top of that; strings, horns, organs, pianos, percussion, etc., but every note played was meant to serve what the song was saying. It was a really beautiful experience for me to make this record; it focuses on trying to heal old wounds, trying to stay hopeful, and trying not to let myself disappear.”

For those who aren’t familiar with Laura, she’s a singer-songwriter and the former keyboard player for the group Bomb the Music Industry!.

Since leaving that band, Stevenson has been on her own for a number of years.

Her first single, from the new album is “Living Room, NY” (see video below). The song shines thanks to the warmth of Laura’s vocals and its string backing.

Laura launches a North American tour in May and June. Performances include Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Vancouver, Seattle, and other cities. Her Brooklyn show will be at Rough Trade on May 24. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 8 at 10 AM, with an American Express presale starting Wednesday, February 6 at noon.

At least two shows (Philadelphia and Boston) are with Kississippi, (no opener announced for Brooklyn at this time).
